Through the leveraging of MediaTek's strengths and resources in the form of regularly sponsored scholarships and the generous support of long-term research projects, we aims to provide committed students with first class and abundantly equipped research environments in order to encourage the study in a wide range of research areas. Helping students to deepen their research knowledge and experience, MediaTek is facilitating the emergence of new R&D possibilities and innovative technology, thereby enhancing the international visibility and industrial competitiveness of Taiwan's overall tech sector.

Domestic and international science and technology education promotion

Through the offering of both domestic and international scholarships and the furthering of a variety of cross-straight academic exchanges, we strive to cultivate outstanding students with a thirst for knowledge here at home. We encourage a variety of academic research by Taiwan's doctoral students to help foster the technological research and educational professionals of tomorrow. We have already funded dozens of graduate studies both domestically and internationally.


This has had a direct and remarkable influence on the strengthening of the competitive advantage of Taiwan's domestic electronics technology research.

Industry-academic cooperation and papers publication

We are the first company to offer continued support across Taiwan for the fields of science and technology through educational activities and scholarships, thereby working to ensure the long-term cultivation and development of Taiwan's technological talent of the future. For years we have also been the continued patrons of research labs in National Taiwan University, National Chiao Tung University and National Tsing Hua University, as well as other top-tier domestic universities.

Through such industry and academic cooperation, communication channels with the world of academia can remain uninterrupted and rich. At the same time, MediaTek spares no effort with regard to investment in innovative technologies. We are Taiwan's only company to have published for several years running at the ISSCC flagship conference, which has done much to increase the R&D capabilities and international visibility of Taiwan's manufactures.
